Currently more people face famine today than at any time in modern history. The World Council of Churches (WCC) and the All Africa Conference of Churches have issued A Call for a Global Day of Prayer to End Famine asking member churches, church-related networks and organizations, and partners worldwide to pray and advocate against global hunger and famine.
