Prayer of Confession — Katherine Baxter, UK

Stourhead, UK — by Steve Shotland

You call us to be your voices in this world
and we stay silent.
You call us to be your hands in this world
and we keep them hidden.
You call us to be your feet in this world
and we go our own way.
You call us to stand up for our faith
And we deny you.
You call us to defend our friends and neighbours
And we turn away
When we meet those who are doubting
and say nothing, forgive us.
When we meet those who need your touch
and we turn away, forgive us.
When we are called to take up your cross and follow your way
and carry nothing, forgive us.

Breathe life into these bones, renew us, revive us.
Heal our brokenness,

give us the strength and the courage to demonstrate the harvest of your love in the life we live and share.

We know your mercy and grace can dissolve all worry and wrongdoings.

Let us hold safe to your promise.
