Psalm 84 Renewed — Duncan Wilson, UK

For Pentecost 13, Year B
May be read responsively or by a single voice.

Guardian over all the nations,
how we love your dwelling place.

Here, even the sparrow may find a home
and the swallow make her nest,
raising her brood beside your altars.
Happy are those who are at home in your house.

Happy also are those who find in you their refuge,
whose hearts are set on the pilgrim road!

You open the springs as they travel arid highways,
they grow only stronger as they journey.

You are a shining sun and a sheltering shield;
blessing us with kindness and every good thing.
How fortunate are those who put their trust in you.
