Psalm 98 for worship — Duncan Wilson, UK

Lectionary reading – Easter 6 Year B
This might be read by a solo reader or responsively.

Come, let us sing a new song to the One
who has worked such wonders!
By power and righteous strength,
victory has been won.

God has kept faith with the children of Israel,
with loyalty and love towards them
so that all the peoples have seen the triumph of our God.

Then sing, all the earth,
with songs and shouts of joy.
String the harp,
blow the trumpet and horns,
shout for sheer joy.

Sea, roar,
every creature, sing,
earth, rejoice.
You rivers, clap your hands,
you hills, dance with joy
for God comes to rule the earth
with justice and with equity.
