God of the past, the present and the future,
Thank you for Grandparents who help us remember,
And grandchildren who give us reason to remember.
Today we remember, even when there is peace in our land.
For Peace is a fragile thing.
How often it has hung by only a thread
May we, followers of the Prince of Peace,
do everything in our capabilities to contribute
to greater understanding and justice between people.
May we be your peacemakers.
