O Tree of Life,
You scatter Your grace
Falling as it does
In radiance around You
Bearing beauty’s blessing.
Let it stir in me an awe
Savoring sight and scent
Of Your descending
Awakening in me
Your call to the same
Marvelous motion
Of radiating love
Without exception.
Let Your petal blossoms
Bearing fragrant incense
Plant in me a memory
Pausing me into mysteries
Beyond the hold of words.
May each flower of You
Capture my attention
Just enough to wonder
At all You make possible
While the world rushes
On its whiplash way.
Yes, O Tree of Life
Let Your scattered stillness
Inspire the same in me
Forming this little life
Into a sign of invitation
To others also yearning
To discover Your scattered
Beauty and blossoming grace.
