Over 1 billion people in the world lack sustainable access to fresh water. Water is a vital ingredient for life. It is a gift from God for all creation and should be viewed as such a gift, not a commodity for profitable gain.

World Water Day – Worship Words resources:

Global Ministries USA‘Troubled Waters’ video — Hosted by acclaimed actress Lynn Redgrave, and produced for the Interfaith Broadcasting Commission by the United Church of Christ, “Troubled Waters” explores the critical issues of water shortage through the lends of faith and from the perspective of people in Bolivia, Malawi, the Middle East, and the United States who struggle daily to find access to clean, safe water.  Parts of this video might be incorporated into a worship service.
