God, hear our prayer and spurn us into radical action.
We have acted out of self-serving ignorance and frightening denial
not realizing that our actions are harmful to the environment.
Forgive us our short-sightedness and selfish designs.
We face your Kairos moment.
We stand on the brink.
Hold us back from self-annihilation.
Do not merely forgive us for participating in the destruction of the fragile web of your creation;
Change us.
Restrain our destructiveness.
Save us from ourselves.
