Joseph also went from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the city of David called Bethlehem, because he was descended from the house and family of David. — Luke 2:4
We all long to find a real home: the place where our pasts and our futures intersect.
As we metaphorically journey through Advent, let’s also be mindful of our physical journeys.
How did we get to where we are?
Who or what equipped us for the life we lead in this place?
How might God be calling us to live here, now?
God, you are a God of movement but you are also a God of place.
Thank you for the many places we have loved.
As we journey through the world,
teach us to love deeply each home we are given.
