There are two versions of this communion prayer — singular for personal devotion and plural for corporate worship.

Version for personal devotion:

This time and place is yours
I’m your guest
You invite me at my worst
And at my best
You inhabit this thin place
And clothe it in your grace
This is where it begins
With the love that you pour in

This stillness here is yours
You hold me at rest
Meeting me as I arrive
And I feel blessed
Your tenderness allows
Your mercy to hold me now
This is the song you sing
And the love that you pour in

This is where you heal me
I confess
This is where you are real to me
No more, no less
These are the gifts you give
Your creation inspires the way I live
This is you living within
And the love that you pour in

Version for corporate worship:

This time and place is yours
We are your guests
You invite us at our worst
And at our best
You inhabit this thin place
And clothe it in your grace
This is where it begins
With the love that you pour in

This stillness here is yours
You hold us at rest
Meeting us as we arrive
And we feel blessed
Your tenderness allows
Your mercy to hold us now
This is the song you sing
And the love that you pour in

This is where you heal us
We confess
This is where you are real to us
No more, no less
These are the gifts you give
Your creation inspires the way we live
This is you living within
And the love that you pour in
