We call to mind, Litany — Simon Cross, UK

Intercessions arising from Psalm 51: 10

Silence: a diamond symbol (♦) indicates a short pause.

One: God we call to mind the places where we live.
All: May your people dwell in harmony. ♦
One: We call to mind the concerns of our neighbours.
All: May your people dwell in harmony. ♦
One: We call to mind places where war continues.
All: May your people dwell in harmony.
One: We call to mind relationships that have broken down into dispute and hatred.
All: May your people dwell in harmony.
One: We acknowledge the need for love to spread in our neighbourhoods, countries, and in the hearts of all people, and seek your ways to do this.
All: May your people live in harmony.
One: As we repent of our hard heartedness, we align ourselves with all those working to restore balance and justice.
All: May your people live in harmony.
One: Create in us clean hearts oh God
All: And put a new and right spirit within us. ♦
One:  As we go into the new day, may our hearts, hands and heads keep the dream of love alive.
All:  May our mouths tell your stories, and our feet walk in your ways.
